Becoming an Effective Strategist
At a time when greater emphasis than ever is being placed on strategy there is a need for skills in developing, articulating and implementing strategies that are robust clinically, financially and competitively and we are offering a programme for senior members of ODPN member organisations that allows them to become more effective strategically. Participants will meet for one day a month for six months to consider how to use different approaches to strategy in the complex political organisations of the NHS.

Caring about Care
Caring about care is a different type of programme requiring the energies and inputs of participants. It is for people who like learning through discussion and exploration, reading and reflection, combining theory and practical experience. It will be a rich learning experience that is intended to lead to the development of an agenda for action for managers, for clinicians and policy makers, as well as increasing members own ability to lead this change in their own organisations.

Towards Organisational Stewardship
If health care organisations are to offer excellent care within the resources at their disposal, and meet access and financial targets that demonstrate this, then there needs to be meaningful engagement between clinicians and managers and are offering a programme for ODPN members that draws on the skills of the core staff, the experience and expertise of network members, and on concepts that have been developed within the network.
